21. Children of the Holocaust

 

The Nazis considered Jewish children threats to German racial "purity."  They murdered the children in the same way as they had the adults.  More than 1,500,000 children and infants were exterminated in the Holocaust.  A generation was lost forever.

Shown here are Polish children in Auschwitz circa July 1944.
